A Conversation on Repairing the World with Dr. Richard Haass
While the unprecedented coronavirus pandemic often dominated the news in 2020, several leadership transitions also took place as various countries elected new leaders. Joe Biden won the 2020 U.S. presidential election and will be inaugurated on January 20, with many pressing domestic and international challenges to address in his first year of office. In his recent article, Repairing the World: The Imperative – and Limits – of a Post-Trump Foreign Policy, Dr. Richard Haass writes about the importance of foreign policy in the Biden administration, including restoring and building new partnerships around the world. Dr. Haass joined us in 2020 to discuss international collaboration based on his latest book, The World: A Brief Introduction, and we are delighted to welcome him back to share his insights on the new Biden presidency and what it could mean for foreign policy, geopolitics, climate change, global health and economic recovery, and international relations for the next four years and beyond.

Speakers: Dr. Richard Haass, President, Council on Foreign Relations; and Dr. Lawrence Jones, Vice President for International Programs, Edison Electric Institute
